Our community is a blending of thoughtful design, excellent service, genuine caring, and many small personal touches, making Parker Ridge a joyful experience, not just a place to live.
In keeping with our philosophy of accommodating individual preferences, many services are provided to all residents while others are optional. All residents enjoy maintenance services, snow and trash removal, 24-hour emergency call monitoring, scheduled van service, daily activity programs, and a wellness program. Optional services can include one to three meals each day, housekeeping, laundry and chore services. There is even an on-site beauty and barber salon.
There is much to do at Parker Ridge. Join friends for delicious meals, activities, outings, and creative workshops. Browse in the Parker Ridge library on blustery days. Enjoy gardening or a game of croquet in the summer sun. Explore nature's wonders along our walking trails. And when it's time to run errands, enjoy the convenience of our scheduled van service to Blue Hill and Ellsworth.
Your home at Parker Ridge, furnished and decorated as you choose, expresses your personality. Complementing your personal space are our community's gathering places: the sunlit sitting rooms, the elegant dining room overlooking the village green, and the library with sweeping views of Blue Hill Bay. Other spaces and places for your enjoyment include an exercise room, activities room, game room, and relaxing deck & porches.
ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
There is always something going on at Parker Ridge! Our full-time Activities Director tailors events and activities to the desires of our residents. The schedule is full of a constantly changing array of group activities, guest speakers, educational classes, exercise programs, music recitals, art classes, ice cream socials, and area outings.

We have established a first-class reputation for offering some of the finest meals available, and our staff works tirelessly to continue this tradition. Wellness Programs
Our wellness programs help you get the most out of life by staying fit and healthy. Low-impact exercise, stretching, and strengthening can help you feel great and stay in control of your health. Our exercise room and walking trails make it easy to have fun and stay in shape. Nutritional counseling is available upon request.
Health Monitoring
Our resident care staff maintains up-to-date medical information for our assisted living and Personal Care Services Program residents. Should any resident become ill, our nurse can visit regularly and, if desired, we can assist in the procurement of in-home health services such as nursing care, personal care assistance, and physical, speech, or occupational therapy.
In-Home Service
Housekeeping services, including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, are available on request. A weekly basic cleaning is included in our apartment and assisted living rental fees. Laundry services are also included in our assisted living rental fee, as is three meals a day. Chore service for heavier cleaning tasks can also be arranged.
Safety and Security
With Parker Inn staff on duty 24 hours per day, you can feel secure that help is there when you need it. During the day, visitors are greeted by our staff. After hours the exterior doors are locked, and visitors can use the intercom to contact residents or staff.
Parker Inn has state of the art wireless pendant system which is monitored 24 hours a day by our highly qualified nursing staff. Parker Inn is also equipped, in common areas, with pull cords which directly alert the care staff in case of emergencies.
Transportation
Trips to Blue Hill and Ellsworth are scheduled regularly for shopping or visiting the banks, libraries, grocery stores, art galleries, retail stores, and more. As part of our schedule of activities, we also attend local cultural events, such as music concerts, or plan a unique lunch experience at one of the many wonderful restaurants on the Blue Hill peninsula.
Enjoy first-class transportation in our spacious new van with lift. Concierge services are available for coordinating other specific transportation needs.
